Hello everyone, I am the co-founder of the Nest of Canada and a mother of two adorable monster boys. I was born and raised in South Korea and moved to Canada when I was 18. It wasn’t my decision to move but it was such a life changing opportunity for me. Spending my late teenage and early 20’s in Canada was so much fun and I did not think about my future seriously.
In my mid-20’s, I realized that I really wanted to do something to help people. Older people caught my eyes at first. I studied and got my license in Denturism to help out older people with missing teeth.
Then I got married and had my first boy, Joon, in 2019. Even though we planned to have a baby with my husband, it was a whole new world.
Joon was a very happy and calm boy but he didn’t want to sleep at night. The sleepless nights became far too many to count or keep track of. So much so I felt as though I was losing myself along with failing my son.
When I first came across ‘sleep training’, it was such a fantasy for me. I thought it would ruin the attachment with my baby and he would think that I didn’t love him. The more I studied, the more I was wrong about that fallacy. The more I learned the more confident I became to sleep train Joon successfully and did so as well with my 2nd son Han. I’m not sure what would have happened had I not invested my time and energy in the sleep training process. I do know both my sons benefitted greatly from it as did myself and husband.
My parenting motto is ‘happy mom = happy child’
When you, yourself are well rested, you have much more energy to pour into your child.
To help moms like me, I got my certification and now I am ready to meet all the sleepless babies and parents.
If my sons and I could do this, I am certain that we can help you and yours find the same joy with a customized sleep training program.
